Bad girl.

I did a bad thing this morning, something I probably shouldn't have done.

I've been trying to limit my "extras" spending lately, to make sure I have enough funds to pay for big things like rent (when I actually get an apartment), car payments, credit card payments, etc.  So this means a cutdown on luxury items like DVDs (*sob*), trips to Cosi for a caffeine jolt, eating out, yadda yadda yadda.

But I have so much shit to do over these next two days and all of next week in order to get invitations out to the right people for the May reception in Pittsburgh.  I have a list of categories of people/groups we want to invite, but absolutely no idea where to find the names and addresses.  And the problem is, nobody else seems to know, either.  Everyone who did has now left the Council.  And the list of invitees needs to get to the printer, like, yesterday, in order to get it in the mail on time.

So the bad thing I mentioned earlier?  I basically said 'screw the budget', ran out of the office and down to Cosi to get a mint mocha latte.

Looks like I'm not going to be able to leave early tomorrow, either.  Mrgh.

Shoot me.

I hate being sick.  Of course, I don't know anyone who actually enjoys being sick, but I digress.

This couldn't have come at a more inconvenient time, either.  I'm traveling to Harrisburg tomorrow for an all-day meeting (have to leave Jersey at around 6 a.m., ugh) and am up to my eyeballs in tasks that need to be completed for the newsletter, follow-ups for the Washington trip last week, keeping up-to-date with information for the Pittsburgh reception and board meeting, plus other miscellaneous tasks.

I also think that my body is playing mind games with me.  I was perfectly fine this weekend, up until Sunday evening when it was time to drive back to Jersey.  Saturday was spent at church for the yearly Easter performance (which actually wasn't that great this year), then at a Japanese restaurant for dinner, then on the couch catching up on last week's ER reruns.  Sunday morning Mom and I accompanied Dave to his ferrier appointments (he shoes horses), which was really interesting although I can't say I'd want his job (he's been urinated on, pooped on, bit, kicked... you name it).  I did like petting and talking to the horses, though.  :)  Afterwards we ate lunch at a restaurant on the waterfront, and then Mom and I headed home while Dave went to his next appointment.  Enter upset stomach and throbbing head.  Wonderful condition to drive back to Jersey in, let me tell you.

Anyway, thank God I have a paid holiday this Friday.  And I have some comp time saved up, so I'm thinking an early leave on Thursday is in order.

*pops more pills*

Blah.

I really hope I'm not coming down with something.  Ever since Tuesday night I've been feeling off... my head is swimmy (I don't think that's a word, but oh well) and my stomach can't decide if it wants to behave or do cartwheels.

I would love to just call off tomorrow and sleep for half the day before driving home, but there's so much I need to catch up on after being out of the office for three days.  Well, I guess I can see how much I can get done by the end of the day and maybe take a few things to work from home tomorrow.

*sigh*
